Then take a boat trip along the Tortuguero canals through densely vegetated areas in search of alligators, monkeys and birds. Arrival at Manatus VIP Hotel & Spa in time for lunch. After lunch visit the village of Tortuguero and the Turtle Research & Conservation Center. (B, L, D) Day 3: Tortuguero All day at Tortuguero, including nature tours or optional fishing expeditions. During nesting season (JUL-OCT), you can go to observe the sea turtles laying eggs on the beach by night or see newly-hatched baby turtles scrambling toward the sea. (B, L, D) Day 4: Tortuguero/Arenal Transfer by boat back to Matina Pier, where you board the Mawamba bus to San Jose. Before arriving in San Jose you will be dropped off at the town of Guapiles, where your van and driver will be waiting to transfer you to Arenal. The two-hour private transfer takes you through the beautiful San Carlos Valley. Overnight at your selected hotel. After checking into your hotel of choice you will have a late afternoon visit to Tabacon
