Come explore
the Amazon by taking a boat safari into the Anavilhanas Archipelago,
to the unique ecosystems of the Rio Negro. This
great tributary of the Amazon River flows north of Manaus and is characterized
by its dark, acidic water, where few insects can breed. This leaves
the environment almost mosquito-free! It also accounts for flora that
differs from the rest of the jungle areas around Manaus.
The
safari boat features air-conditioned cabins with private bathrooms,
plenty of hot water, good food, cold drinks and expert naturalist guides.
For those
who wish the comfort of a luxury ship, Amazon Clipper Cruises now presents
the new M/V Amazon Clipper Premium,
a vessel unique in style that offers "simply the best" small-ship
cruising in the Amazon. Large enough to offer spacious cabins with lower
beds and inviting public spaces, but small enough to dock at remote
spots and cruise to hidden locations due to the shallow draft of only
three feet, the M/V Amazon Clipper
Premium is the perfect size for a comfortable cruise on the
Amazon rivers. Amazon Clipper Cruises now puts at your disposal its
complete support infrastructure to offer an on-board
experience that's second to none - and in addition we will take you
to places few other cruise passengers ever see. It's possible because
our cruise groups are small and personal, and our knowledge of the destination
is complete.
At 32 meters
(106 feet) long, with a beam of 9 meters (30 feet), the M/V
Amazon Clipper Premium hosts only 32 guests in 16 spacious
all-outside cabins, with lower beds, private bathroom facilities with
hot shower, individual air-conditioning and safety box. There are 11
cabins with two lower twin beds, and four cabins with one queen bed
plans and cabin floor plans).
Unique on
the M/V Amazon Clipper Premium is a spacious observation and sun
deck with a fantastic 360° panoramic view (above, right). The window-lined
dining room seats all passengers leisurely at one single seating. Excellent
meals, up to international standards, are prepared with utmost care
by an experienced kitchen staff. Meals are served buffet-style, and
you can help yourself from a great variety of fresh foods including
daily specials or choice vegetarian meals. The boat's kitchen is fully-equipped
with freezers, charcoal filters and a plentiful supply of mineral water.
You
will experience trips via outboard powered canoes into the smaller creeks
to see life on the flooded plains. Excursions include rubber trees,
lakes with giant Victoria Regia water lilies, bird-watching, visits
to local inhabitants and walks in the forest, always accompanied by
expedition guides.
Social
life on board the boat is divided between the converted saloon and
bar areas, the dining areas, libraries and the panoramic sun decks.
The boat's kitchen is fully equipped with freezers, charcoal filters
and a large supply of mineral water and beverages.
