Amazon Ecopark Jungle Lodge Brazilian Rainforest Safaris
Located in the heart of the Amazon jungle, but not far from Manaus, the Amazon Ecopark Jungle Lodge unites adventure and comfort. It has 60 rooms distributed among 20 bungalows throughout the forest, together with a thatched-roof, open-air restaurant, a private beach, natural swimming pools, and over 10 km. of jungle trails and unusual native fauna and flora. It is the only lodge authorized by the Brazilian Environmental Agency to maintain wild animals.
Excursions include: jungle hikes; a visit to Monkey Forest; alligator observation safari in the evening; a visit to a local native's house with the opportunity to learn about how rubber is processed; canoe trips; prianha fishing; a tour to the Meeting of the Waters (where the Negro and Solimoes Rivers meet to form the Amazon River); and instruction about jungle survival and medicinal plants. |
