HALF-DAY (3 HOURS) MANUEL ANTONIO NATIONAL PARK Hike with an experienced
nature guide through Manuel Antonio National Park. Although Manuel Antonio
attracts most visitors with its two pristine, white-sand beaches (Espadilla
Sur and Manuel Antonio), the national park also includes protected coastal
rainforest, mangrove swamp, coral formations, and twelve island seabird
sanctuaries. Your guide will teach you about the park's flora and point
out members of the park's abundant wildlife, which includes 109 mammal
species (among them capuchin and squirrel monkeys, agouti, and three-toed
sloths) and 184 species of birds. Soft drinks are included in the tour. Recommended: Sunscreen, a swimming suit, beach sandals, insect repellent, camera, and a hat! NOTE: Conservation officials have fixed the park's carrying capacity at 600 people per day from Tuesdays to Fridays, and 800 on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. On Mondays the park is closed to the public. The park, which is usually open from 7 a.m. to 4 pm, is closed as soon as the capacity is reached for that day. The tour does not operate Mondays.
